JAM is an alternative asset management firm with deep experience across a diverse range of asset classes, including fin-tech, hospitality, commercial real estate, and entertainment. Our team has combined experience of over $2.5 billion in the development, acquisition, and operations of hospitality and seniors housing businesses across North America, the ownership and asset management of traditional commercial real estate, and the start up of successful fin-tech and entertainment companies.
Real Estate
Hospitality: Seeking good assets with bad balance sheet. Mature secondary markets with limited new supply risk, irreplaceable upper-upscale and luxury resort and leisure driven sub-belt markets, mid-size select city centre urban hotels with lifestyle repositioning upside, select-service mid market portfolios with geographic and demand generator diversity with technology and professional management upside.

Residential Resorts
As the luxury travel industry continues to emerge post pandemic, exclusive residential resort projects are being planned and developed in a far greater array of destinations and demand is both growing and diversifying. JAM has identified several key trends in the Canadian residential resort industry: namely, the increased demand for and attraction of residential resort development within fly-to and drive-to Canadian markets, specifically Western Canada; the growing appetite for bespoke service and ultra-luxury surroundings and amenities; the increase in demand for exclusive ski-in ski-out private residences; and, the increase of eco & culturally sensitive private residences within luxury resorts. Mindful of the industry dynamics, JAM has identified exclusive residential resort development opportunities which are designed to generate outsized risk-adjusted returns to their investors.

Commercial: Seniors and Adult-living properties; A highly specialized form of real estate investment, we look for extremely-well planned, well built, in urban and secondary markets with a broad aging population, with access to shopping, public transportation, community amenities. A significant factor in our underwriting of this asset class is the access and availability to a highly skilled and trained labour force with a true focus on improving the lives of seniors.

Entertainment
Our founders have unique and extensive backgrounds in the entertainment industry, including live theater production, live music performance, and music publishing and recording. We look for opportunities to work with successful entrepreneurs and management teams in growing companies with and high barriers to entry, proven concepts, and technologies. We work closely with the management teams with a focus on assisting with financing, deal structuring, and corporate governance.
Next Generation Technologies
JAM leads rounds of financing either as investors or capital advisors for early stage deep tech companies with a focus on fintech, clean tech, and proptech.
